I catch a glimpse of a world and begin chasing its context.
Sometimes, through that opening, I discover a place waiting to be explored. Sometimes it’s a character whose story I want to understand, or a fragment of an event that leaves me wondering what happened before and what might happen next. And sometimes there’s no recognizable story at all—only a feeling I want to follow.
I don’t necessarily create these worlds. I carve openings into them, discovering what lies beyond, fragment by fragment.
My creative process has no fixed direction. Sometimes an imagined story leads me to an image, other times, an image leads me to a story. Photography, collage, and digital manipulation are the tools I use to navigate my imagination.
I know a work is finished when it feels complete, when the story has taken shape. Yet the world beyond the frame remains open, with more to discover and perhaps more stories to tell.
I don’t claim to understand everything I encounter in these worlds. Nor do I expect others to see exactly what I see.
Each image is a glimpse of something I discovered along the way.
Chasing Reveries is my way of sharing those glimpses with others.
